Tradescantia Sweetness

Pink, green and cream foliage makes Tradescantia 'Sweetness' a colourful addition to your indoor jungle. Its leaves have striped green and soft pink markings, with reddish-purple undersides that add even more colour as the stems grow and trail. Fast-growing and easy to trim, it looks right at home on a shelf, in a hanging planter or spilling over the edge of a pot.

A Note on Size

The 12cm nursery pot refers to the diameter of the pot, not the length of the trailing stems. Growth, fullness and leaf colouring will vary between plants.

Plant Care

Find a bright spot with plenty of indirect light to help maintain its pink and green colouring. Too little light can cause the variegation to fade and the stems to become leggy.

Water when the top few centimetres of soil feel dry, keeping the mix lightly moist but never waterlogged. Reduce watering during cooler months. Pinch or trim the growing tips to encourage a fuller shape, and don't be afraid to give it a tidy-up when the stems get long. The cuttings can be used to grow new plants.
