Scop Cactus 17cm

Scop, short for Trichocereus scopulicola, is a striking columnar cactus with ribbed, blue-green stems and a sculptural shape. Its upright growth makes it a standout feature plant for a sunny spot, adding height and character to a cactus collection.

• Flowers: Mature plants can produce large, white, fragrant flowers that open at night.

A Note on Size

The 17cm nursery pot refers to the diameter of the pot, not the height of the cactus. As each plant is naturally different, height, shape and spine development may vary slightly.

Plant Care

Scop prefers plenty of bright light and a free-draining cactus mix. Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again, and reduce watering during cooler months when growth slows. If moving it into stronger direct sunlight, increase exposure gradually to help prevent sunburn.

Flowering is more likely when the plant is mature and growing in suitable conditions. Give it plenty of light, good drainage and room to grow.

Make It Complete

Pair your Scop with a simple cover pot to complement its architectural shape. We also stock cactus and succulent potting mix to help provide the drainage it needs.
