Satin Pothos – Trailing Indoor Plant NZ

Satin Pothos is a popular trailing indoor plant with soft, heart-shaped leaves patterned with silvery markings. Its velvety-looking foliage catches the light beautifully, making it a lovely choice for shelves, bookcases or plant stands where the vines can trail, or for growing upwards on a support.

Plant Details

• Scientific Name: Scindapsus pictus
• Nursery Pot Size: 12cm
• Lighting: Bright to medium indirect light
• Water: Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between watering
• Growth Habit: Trailing or climbing
• Toxicity: Toxic to cats and dogs if ingested

A Note on Size

The 12cm nursery pot refers to the diameter of the pot, not the length of the vines. As each plant is naturally different, foliage and trailing length may vary slightly from the product image.

Plant Care

Satin Pothos prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its attractive silver markings, although it can tolerate medium light. Allow the top layer of soil to dry before watering, and avoid leaving the roots sitting in soggy soil. You can trim the vines to encourage fuller growth or let them trail naturally as they grow.

Make It Complete

Pair your Satin Pothos with a cover pot or hanging planter to show off its trailing foliage. We also stock plant food, neem and water meters to help with ongoing plant care.
