Plant Care

Keep your Calathea Helen Kennedy in medium to bright indirect light. Avoid direct afternoon sun, as the leaves can scorch and lose some of their beautiful colouring.

Calatheas prefer consistently lightly moist soil, so water when the top layer begins to dry rather than allowing the plant to dry out completely. They can be sensitive to the minerals and chemicals found in tap water, so filtered or rainwater is ideal and can help keep the foliage looking its best.

Avoid leaving the plant sitting in excess water. Calatheas also appreciate higher humidity and a warm, stable indoor environment. Keep away from cold draughts, heaters and air conditioning where possible.
